Why do I need to authorise Facebook?

You need to authorise Facebook to connect to your WebDirect website so that your business’ Facebook page can display a ‘Book Now’ button. This allows visitors to make reservations right from your page.

To authorise Facebook:

  1. Log in to your WebDirect BackOffice.
  2. Click on ’Settings’ and then on ‘Widgets’.
  3. In the ‘Accept bookings through Facebook’ section, click on the ‘Continue with Facebook’ button.
  4. Log in to your Facebook account on the screen that appears.

  5. You’ll see a message confirming that you’ve successfully connected your Facebook page to your WebDirect website.

Note: If you have more than one Facebook page, your WebDirect website might connect to all of them at once. You’ll need to disconnect and reconnect them one by one, and disable the ‘Book Now’ button from any accounts not related to your property.

Please note, that your Facebook Business page needs to be set up in the category 'hotel & lodging', for the authorisation to work smoothly.
