How to customise consent checkbox text forms

If you use forms on your WebDirect website, these include a checkbox where the guest can consent to being added to your email marketing list. You can customise the text displayed next to this checkbox. Here’s how to do that:

  1. Log in to your WebDirect BackOffice.
  2. Click on Settingsand then click on ‘Website’.
  3. Click on the plus symbol (‘+’) in the ‘Privacy policy’ section.

  4. Click on the toggle next to ‘Custom checkbox text’.


  1. Type the text you want to appear next to the checkbox in your form.
  1. Click on ‘Save’.
  1. After you save your text, make sure you update the translations of it for all the languages you offer on your WebDirect website. To do that, click on ‘translations’ in the yellow banner that appears. If you’re not sure how to update your translations, take a look at this step-by-step guide.
  2. Once you’ve updated all languages, click on ‘Publish’ to make your changes visible on your WebDirect website.
