When you’re creating pages on your WebDirect web site or updating your homepage, you can also add code and widgets – for example, to display your TripAdvisor badge or show the weather in your location. Personalising your site using code or widgets can make it more attractive and useful for potential guests.
Note: You can only add code or widgets on your homepage and new article pages that you create. You can’t add them on these pages:
Here’s how to insert code or a widget:
Log in to your WebDirect BackOffice and click on ’Content’ and then on ‘Pages’.
Click on ‘Edit’ next to the page you want to add the code to.
Scroll down on the page that loads and click on the yellow ‘+ Add’ button, then choose ‘Embed’.
Type or paste your HTML or iframe code into the ‘Embed Code’ box on the page that loads. If you want to make the widget appear centre-aligned on your page, remember to add the HTML tag <center> just before the start of the code and then </center> just after the end of the code.
Click on the blue ‘Save’ button located in the bottom right-hand corner.
Click on ‘Publish’ to make the updated article live on your website.
